When It Comes to Logos, This San Diego Designer Has Rock Star Status
San Diego, CA -- March 5, 2007--How do you know when your career as a graphic designer has reached rock star status? When every logo you submit gets accepted into the Big Book of Logos #5. San Diego graphic designer Les Kollegian submitted 30 logos, competing against 10,000 other entries. Only 2,500 entries actually are chosen every year to be included in the prestigious book. When Kollegian learned every logo he submitted was chosen, he was "Astounded...this is stiff competition from 500 of the top design firms in the United States. I'm completely honored," he said. Added the book's author, David E. Carter, "(This is) a very rare accomplishment. Great work."
This is the fifth Big Book of Logos book by David E. Carter, and ad agencies and marketing firms throughout the world use it as a reference tool to inspire brainstorming sessions and stimulate graphic design ideas.
Les Kollegian is founder of San Diego-based Jacob Tyler Creative Group (JCTG), named for his son, which has an East Coast office in Baltimore. JCTG handles B2B and B2C clients in a variety of industries, ranging from industrial to retail and consumer products.
